    it's sad how things just crumble over the years.. even years of building it's still weak, shaky. easily torn apart by the elements. i admit i havent been contributing to the building; always giving up without putting in maximal effort, shying away from contact, not taking the initiative, not being able to reflect truthfully on the situation and doing what should be done.

    if only life could start over again..

    i hope it's not too late to make amendments now.

    oh man i miss KL. =( seriously hate the post-trip syndromes. the kind of longing to go back and never wanting to come back.

    this trip has seriously opened my eyes. expected KL to be very like singapore in terms of infrastructure and stuff but it wasn't. the last time i went to kl was eons ago so couldn't really remember much. visited kl general hosp.. thought it would be like any hosp in sg but it isn't. not that it's backward but the facilities and amenities are just not what i've expected. went to sau seng lam community rehab it was WOAH. cool the area is super big and it's very well-renovated on the inside. the centre has a lot of potential for development to provide more diversified services but it's so severely understaffed that they have to shut down services like the elderly day care just because they don't have people to manage it. what a pity.. i seriously hope there's a chance to go over during year 3 for a block placement there. think it'll be quite cool can get to learn a lot.


    went on a school tour too the most memorable was the dissection labs. omg it's like the classic scene in a horror movie. saw tubs of fresh and plastinated organs classified and kept separately, saw the dissection process of cadavers, saw how they kept 3-5 cadavers in a large tank of formaldehyde.. oh my. it's quite surprising also how the school will be willing to show us all these. the previous time when we went to japan we weren't shown these during the sch tour. i havent even seen nyp's own dissection labs before.. they're kind of out of bounds. yet the msians are very open about it and not afraid to show. something we have to learn from them.

    the msian students were all very friendly =) they really put in a lot of effort to make our trip possible. the planning of the study programme was good and the leisure aspects as well. we had this dinner at a restaurant on the night before we left. sang the OT soiree song as a performance for the msian students and the second time we all sang along together. =) people like chong ki and chin yuen even took effort to pei us shop at times sq and send us off on the last day.. really appreciate it!

    the games day on the last day morning was fun. it was quite cool 3 unis - UKM, UiTM, KSKB plus us NYP students came together for the games =D i played netball. the girls were damn good! a lot of them are in the netball team in school i think.. they wore their tudungs (correct my spelling if im wrong) long sleeve tee and track pants i already wanted to die in my bball warmup tee and bball shorts they still can look super nice and not cui after the games. lol.


    didn't have much time to shop there. the day before we arrived there was a flood up till car level the hotel where we originally should be staying had their electricity supply cut and their furniture damaged.. so the first day afetrnoon instead of shopping we were settling the hotel matters. other days were quite packed as well after the tours around the hosp the campus and the rehab centre we hadn't had much time left. plus the traffic is horrible we got caught in a jam for one of the days. oh well. if only the trip could be extended by a few more days! we could have lessons with the malaysian students or something and more shopping time!





    oh and me and suanwoo went to meet kian and michelle on the last day before we left at times sq. feels nice to see them after so long =)

    i love my roomie wailet the wallet she's the only one who overlooks all my flaws (eg always wanting to eat and db, not bathing in the morning) and still be my friend. HAHAHAA

    i want to go back to KL =( missing everyone from the trip.
